Real World[]

September 11 – A tragic day in United States history. Almost 3,000 people are killed in four suicide attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City; the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia; and in rural Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Grand Theft Auto III is released on October 21-22, notably after going through some light editing to remove any content that may be insensitive due to the recent 9/11 attacks. For example, the LCPD police cars were changed from blue to black as to not resemble the real-life NYPD car color scheme at the time.
November 5: User The GTA Nerd, the founder of Randompedia, was born in the afternoon.

January 1 - Armando Vasquez is born to unknown parents in Vancouver, British Colombia.

- Early February - Hector Wilson abandons his son Zachary Wilson, as well as Zack's mother Lacey Marshall.
- February 16 - Carlos Garcia Montero is killed in an attempted bank robbery with Hector, and Hector is taken to jail by Tristan Duran to serve an eight year sentence.
June 13 - Adrian Wilson, the second child of Carol and Louis Wilson, is born in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Unknown date: A 15 year-old Cameron O'Neill first learns that he is allergic to hemp, when he snuck out to smoke weed with friends. He was presumably caught after experiencing a reaction.
- It is unknown of this incident occurred in his former hometown of Belfast, Ireland, or if he was already living with his brother Ethan O'Neill in Appleton, Wisconsin.
