Aiden McReary Wilson was a retconned sixth born sibling of the McReary siblings, and appeared as a former primary cast member in the mid-fourth and fifth seasons of Sibling Rivalries. However, he no longer exists within the series continuity beginning with its sixth season.

He only ever appeared again in a non-canon comic mocking his removal from the series in Season 11 comic "ApRiL fOoLs DaY: wIsCoNsIn StYlE 2 - sIbLiNgS aGaInSt ThE uNiVeRsE!".

Description[]

He is the newborn son of Maureen and Hector Wilson, and the half-brother of Packie, Francis, Gerry, Derrick, and Kate McReary.

Maureen was revealed to be pregnant at the end of the comic "Portrait of a Football Player", and was eventually born in the next comic, "Wouldn't It Be Nice?". He is the sixth and officially the last sibling of the McReary-Wilson family, being even younger than Kate (who had been the youngest sibling since 2006).

Aiden has many differences compared to the original five McReary siblings; Aiden's father is not Mr. McReary (although Maureen named Aiden after him), he wasn't born in Vancouver, Canada, and although he still has McReary in his full name (it is his middle name), he uses his father's last name, which is Wilson. Aiden is also the only sibling to be blood-related to the other Wilson family members (such as Louis's children), as they are only step-relatives of the McReary siblings. Aiden is not considered to be a part of the five McReary siblings, and he will not appear in every comic like they do.

Aiden has been retconned from the franchise following the fifth season, and does not appear as a regular character in subsequent seasons. This makes his birth non-canon, and even though the comics that he appeared in are still canon, the scenes he appears or is mentioned are now non-canon.

He was referenced in a throwaway joke in Season 8's "Barking Up The Wrong Tree", where a photo of the baby falls into Packie hands; he says he has never seen this baby in his life, and proceeds to rip the photo.

In the ninth season comic "The Forgotten Son", it is revealed that Hector had a biological son before he deserted him and his mother out of fears of not wanting to be a father, but then met him 13 years later and tried to form a better relationship with him. Thus, Aiden remains non-existant and was not ever Hector's first biological child.

Aiden returns as the primary antagonist of non-canon Season 10 comic "ApRiL fOoLs DaY: wIsCoNsIn StYlE 2 - sIbLiNgS aGaInSt ThE uNiVeRsE!", where he now talks in full sentences albeit being trapped as a baby. He seeks "revenge" on the McReary siblings for having him written out of the series, by launching them out of their house and into space. The siblings have to go through multiple worlds to get back home, and although all siblings except Packie do not survive, him and Aiden engage in a final showdown once Packie returns home.

Aiden being removed from the series continuity was mentioned again in the series' 100th comic. While this special features an appearance from nearly every other character introduced in the series, Aiden is noticably absent.

Appearance[]

As a baby, Aiden wears uncolored pajamas with a visible zipper, and he has four small hairs coming out of his head. As an older kid (he appeared like this throughout "ApRiL fOoLs DaY: wIsCoNsIn StYlE!"), he wears a polo shirt with sleeves and the number 1 on his shirt. He has curly hair and basic shorts, socks, and shoes.

Trivia[]

  • Aiden's name is similar to that of his older cousin Adrian Wilson. The name Aiden was given to him because it is an Irish name; Maureen named Aiden after her first husband.
  • Aiden is similar to the character Dil Pickles from Rugrats. Similarily, Aiden's older cousin (and Adrian's younger brother) Troy Wilson's personality is based off of that of Dil Pickles as he appears in the Rugrats spin-off series All Grown Up!.
    • With Aiden's introduction, the comic series had characters that are based off of both of Dil's appearances in the Rugrats franchise.
  • Aiden has suffered the same fate as Sparky from The Fairly OddParents, with both being written out from their respective series after a season or two. Higher-ups at Nickelodeon asked for the removal of Sparky, while GTA Nerd removed Aiden after realizing he did not think the character was necessary in the series anyway.
    • Sparky seemed to be replaced by Chloe Carmichael, while Aiden seemed to be replaced by Zachary Marshall.
