Luis in The Ballad of Gay Tony
Luis Fernando Lopez is The Ballad of Gay Tony's protagonist, and the bodyguard of TBoGT's deturagonist, Anthony "Gay Tony" Prince.
Luis is a young Dominican-American man who grew up in Northwood, Liberty City. He portrayed as a tough, street-smart character with a troubled past, and continues to be involved in various criminal activities such as drug dealing and street fighting. Despite this, he is also shown to be a loyal friend with a strong sense of honor, often wanting his friends Armando Torres and Henrique Bardas to get out of the drug dealing game (while offering his assistance anyway).
Throughout the game, Luis works for Tony, helping him out of dangerous situations and managing his club business. He also has a complicated relationship with his mother, who has her own debts to take care of, while criticizing Luis for not doing anything else with his life (she often compares him to his more successful siblings).
Trivia[]
- Luis is the only protagonist of the GTA IV trilogy who didn't appear or was referenced in Grand Theft Auto V. Niko Bellic was mentioned twice during the storyline, and Johnny Klebitz made a physical appearence before being killed by Trevor Philips.
- However, an image of Luis appears on Tony's desk in After Hours, a 2018 story DLC to Grand Theft Auto Online.
