Trivia[]

  • As of this comic, Zack now lives in the guest room of the house, which previously appeared in the Season 5 comic "Uncle Cameron Moves In". The sub-plot of the comic focuses on Hector, Maureen, and the younger siblings renovating the guest room into Zack's own room.
  • Third comic to end in a question mark, after "Do You Get The Message?" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice?".
  • The title is both a reference to the 2017 film One of Us, and the "one of us, one of us" chant scene from the 1932 film Freaks. In this case, the title references Zack struggling to become one of the McReary siblings despite his many differences.
  • Third comic since "Great Balls of Paint" and "Pack To The Future" to feature Aaron's Paintball Palace. In the first appearance, it was 5 v 5 (the five McReary siblings versus Joel, James, Marco, Trevor, and Jose though Jose forfeits), but in this comic there was only a 4 v 4 (Packie, Francis, Zack, and Salvador V versus Joel, James, Marco, and Trevor) for some reason.
  • In this comic, there is a scene where Packie, Francis, and Zack compete in a laser tag battle against San Salvador, Tony, and Jose. Jose is oddly going against the McRearys in this comic (despite apologizing and saying they are still his friends, before eliminating Packie), but in "Great Balls of Paint" he did not want to battle them in paintball at all.
  • Zack gets two baby pet red-eared slider turtles in this comic, which are both males and named Claude and Toby. In real life, GTA Nerd has two turtles with the same names. It is explained Zack had the name Claude in his head way before he knew about Salvador V's step-brother. In GTA Nerd's case, he named both the SR character and turtle after the Claude from Grand Theft Auto III.
