Trivia[]

  • This is the comic that served as the inspiration of 2021 prequel Zachary, expanding on the background of Zachary Marshall. The scene from this comic of Hector identifying Zack sitting with the McRearys is also the last scene of that prequel.
    • Hector recalls some of these events to Maureen, but is not accurate about everything that was seen in the prequel. For example, he mentions that he "went away without telling Lacey", but really he was arrested and served an eight-year sentence for the robberies he committed.
      • Furthermore, when Hector is seen talking on the phone with Lacey about her being pregnant, a TV is seen behind him, but in the prequel this is where the couch in his apartment was located. Also sitting on the couch at the time of the life-changing phone call was Carlos Garcia Montero.
      • While the entirety of Zachary's plot was not yet thought of, GTA Nerd considers these retcons to be a part of Hector hiding his criminal background from his family until a later comic.
  • An episode of That '70s Show shares the same name as this comic. The TV show is a huge inspiration for the comic series being set in Wisconsin to begin with.
